This course is intended for people who want to pursue a career of inline skating instructor. The goal is not to teach you how to skate, although surely you will learn something new along the way. The course does not have any final exam and furthermore, your active engagement and participation is up to you.
However, there is a minimum recommended skill-set need for being able to actively take part in all classes and get the most out of the course. We recommend being proficient at below maneuvers:
- smooth and dynamic skating, both forwards and backwards
- braking in two different techniques as minimum
- turning left and right while skating forwards and backwards
- crossovers, both forwards and backwards, to left and right
- riding while balancing on one leg
- jump on and jump off from an obstacle of 25-30 cm height at minimum
- skating downhill
- a 180 degree turn in both ways
Furthermore, the course contains classes about skating basics as well as more specialized styles such as: urban skating, aggressive inline, freestyle slalom and slides. Thus, we strongly recommend equipping yourself with a pair of good quality, rigid (preferably hardboot) skates with a four wheels frame (taking diameter no bigger than 90 mm) or three wheels frame (3×84, 3×90 or 3×100) in flat setup. Freeskates/urban skates and aggressive models with bigger wheels are perfect for our needs.
Wearing a helmet is mandatory during classes. We do not require protection pads, but are free to use them if you wish to do so.
There is a possibility of placing an order in Bladeville inline skating shop and picking it up during course. If you want to buy anything this way, please contact the shop via email: info@iloverolki-iic.com
